With Fidelity, is there an option to change access method to the individual account that was established via employer? Default access method employs authentication with work (yet individual) credentials. This is fine until one changes the job, but would be nice to change this some time before the change occurs.

Hey @Oleksii, I’m trying to make sure I understand your question. Are you referring to how you receive a two-factor authentication code when you log in on Fidelity.com?

Not really. I am sorry, I didn’t explain myself well. So, I hold an account with a different asset management company. The way I login to my account there is by using my work email. I cannot find the way to change this with them. I find this situation a bit strange because the RSUs on that account, once vested, belong to me as a private person. The other available asset manager with my employer is Fidelity. I am considering the switch to Fidelity. But I want to know if I would be able to access that account using my personal credentials after the change or using work email is somehow a condition set by my employer. I can find no answer, neither on my corp wiki, nor that other’s asset manager help pages.

So, it sounds like you’re referring to an employee stock plan benefit that you have through your employer. Generally speaking, clients with stock plan accounts have their own unique credentials that can be used to log in from either our Fidelity.com or NetBenefits.com platforms.
We offer some additional information about these accounts on our FAQ page, as well, which may be helpful to you: https://www.fidelity.com/go/stock-plan-services/faqs-your-account
Let us know if we can clarify anything further! 🟢
