Here’s a summary of the main problem and the solutions discussed in the post:
- Main Problem: The user accidentally initiated a money transfer to a Fidelity account from the wrong account that lacked sufficient funds, leading to uncertainty about the status of the transfer.
- Solution: Fidelity clarified that the initial credit for the transfer would be reversed if the transfer fails, and they will not attempt to pull the funds again. The user will need to manually initiate a new transfer.

I tried to transfer a certain amount of money to my fidelity account but accidentally used the wrong account which didn’t have the sufficient funds. Fidelity says the transfer is complete even though I didn’t pay it. Is it just going to try to pull it again in a few days?

Hi, @⚡.
We initially credit a transfer to your account right away so you can place trades, but that credit will be debited if the transfer fails. We will not attempt to pull funds again after a transfer has failed so you’ll need to manually initiate a new transfer. 🟢
