Extra accounts in Fidelity Mobile App (Android)

Here’s a summary of the main problem and solutions discussed in the post:

  • Main Problem: The user, Zucce05, is frustrated with the Fidelity Mobile App displaying a cluttered list of all accounts, including inactive accounts and stock plans that they want to hide for a cleaner view.
  • Solution for Most Accounts: Zucce05 can hide most accounts by going to Fidelity.com, clicking on the three dots in the Portfolio section, and selecting “Customize.” These changes will sync with the mobile app.
  • Issue with Stock Plans and HSA: Zucce05 cannot hide “stock plans” accounts and an old HSA account that has a small balance. Fidelity confirmed that stock plan accounts cannot be hidden online, and the HSA cannot be hidden until it has a $0 balance.
  • Next Steps for HSA: To remove the remaining balance from the HSA, Zucce05 needs to contact Fidelity’s HSA team for assistance.

In my Fidelity Mobile App it lists every account I’ve ever had, including company stock purchase accounts and retired 401k’s from old employers. I’ve got a long list of dead accounts cluttering up my account view in Fidelity. I also have several accounts I’m authorized on, but don’t use personally. Is there any way to hide the accounts I don’t want to see in the mobile app so it’s easier to see just the accounts I care about? Thanks!

Hey @Zucce05 thanks for the question! Totally understandable. You can hide accounts on Fidelity.com by clicking the three dots above the left column on your Portfolio and clicking “Customize.” Once you get those settings saved online, you’ll see your mobile app reflects the changes.
Let me know if you have other questions!

That worked for hiding most things I didn’t want. I can’t seem to hide “stock plans” accounts, which are the employee stock purchase accounts through an employer. I also can’t seem to hide an old HSA but I’m guessing that’s because it still have $0.28 in it for some reason.

Can you tell me more about why you can’t hide those accounts? Do you have the choice to but it doesn’t actually hide it? Or does the choice not come up?

The choice doesn’t appear for those accounts.

Thanks, yeah the HSA can’t be hidden until it has a $0 balance. Still confirming the Stock Plan account…the “Hide” button typically only shows for eligible accounts, but let me double-check that.
Just confirmed- stock plan accounts can’t be hidden online. I’ll take your experience as feedback to pass on to the right teams though! 🟢

Thanks for the info!
Is there any way I can just drain the 28 cents in my HSA so I can hide that? It’s not been used in probably a decade anyway.
