Summary of User’s Issue and Solutions:
- The main problem reported by the user is receiving physical mail from Fidelity despite being opted into eDelivery for a long time.
- It may be legally required for Fidelity to send certain documents via mail, regardless of eDelivery preferences.
- To ensure eDelivery is set up correctly, the user should:
- Log into Fidelity.com and go to “Profile”.
- Select “Communication preferences” and verify that all desired items are marked for eDelivery.
- Ensure that “Prospectuses, shareholder reports, and other documents” are also set for eDelivery and click “Apply”.
- If the user continues to receive mail after verifying these settings, they should contact Fidelity for further assistance.

I just got a physical letter (VOO prospectus) from Fidelity. It says to “go paperless by visting Fidelity blah blah”. I went to the Fidelity URL and I have already been opted in Edelivery for everything for a long time. How to stop mail for good!??!

It’s possible that fidelity is legally required to mail it to you.

Hi, @dapperdeee.
We completely understand wanting to eliminate all mail delivery; however, even when setting your account up for eDelivery, there are still some items that must be sent to our clients through the mail due to specific rules and regulations.
Additionally, we want to make sure eDelivery is set up correctly. To verify eDelivery is established correctly, log into Fidelity.com, then follow these steps:
1. Click on “Profile” at the top of the Fidelity website
2. On the “Profile” page, click on “Communication preferences” in the “Preferences” section
3. On the “Communication preferences” page, verify that any item you want electronically delivered is selected for eDelivery, then click “Apply” at the bottom of the page
NOTE: Please ensure that “Prospectuses, shareholder reports, and other documents” are set for eDelivery.
If you have verified that all these settings are correct and you are still receiving U.S. mail, please feel free to contact us via a trusted method and we can assist you further. 🟢
