Here’s a summary of the main problem and the solutions discussed:
- Main Problem: The user is unable to log in due to a two-factor authentication (2FA) code being sent to an incorrect phone number.
- Solution 1: If able to log in, the user can update their phone number via the “Profile” link on Fidelity.com, but may need to wait for an overnight cycle for changes to take effect.
- Solution 2: If unable to log in, the user should contact Fidelity’s 24/7 support team at (800) 343-3548 for assistance in updating their phone number.

Thanks for dropping by, @dragon. I’m happy to help out here.
If you’re able to login to your account, you can update your phone number by clicking the “Profile” link at the top of our website, Fidelity.com. Note, you may need to wait for an overnight cycle if you recently updated the number and the choice to edit is unavailable. Also, you may need to wait for an overnight cycle for a newly entered phone number to be available for 2FA once it’s updated.
If you’re unable to login (often the case when a 2FA code is needed with an incorrect phone number) then you’ll need to contact us by phone to update it. You can reach our 24/7 team at (800) 343-3548 for assistance.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or need other assistance! We’re here to help
