Option Deltas are displaying different values in the P/L calculator versus the Option Chain.

Here’s a summary of the main problem and the solutions discussed:

  • Main Problem: The user, Dew, is experiencing discrepancies between the delta values shown on the option chain and those on the profitability calculator, leading to confusion about which source to trust.
  • Solution Suggested: Contact the Active Trader Service team for assistance, as they are familiar with both tools and can help clarify the issue further.
  • Contact Information: The Active Trader Service team can be reached by phone and is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET.

I’m attempting to create a strategy using both the option chain and the profitability calculator. For some reason, the deltas on the option chain are showing different values than the P/L calculator. What’s the reason for this? Which one should I trust? I will post two images showing the discrepancy.

I got timed out for posting a link to the image. Below are the values of the options:

It looks like the Profitability calculator is pricing the options using $431 as the underlying price instead of $428.84. Note: The ticker is XSP
