Summary of User’s Inquiry and Solutions Provided:

I see a contribution number on the ROTH IRA page that is different from my Form 5498, and I wanted to ask if there is a way to see how much I contributed to my Roth IRA in 2023? Want to make sure I max out my contribution

We appreciate you reaching out, @PeachGardenOath. Ultimately, the taxpayer is responsible for keeping track of contributions made into a retirement account, like a Roth IRA. However, our systems are designed to keep track of the total contributions made across all eligible retirement account(s) within the tax year and will be reported on Internal Revenue Service (IRS) tax form 5498. You have access to these documents on Fidelity.com (login required) by navigating to “Accounts & Trade,” and then selecting “Tax Forms & Information.” You can also view total End-of-Year contributions to an IRA by going to your December statement and looking at the contributions Year-to-Date for each year that we have on record (typically going back 10 yrs). Alternatively, you can view the total contributions made into an IRA by going to the “Performance” tab on Fidelity.com after logging in. The Performance tab is located on the Summary page and will show all contribution data from the creation of your Fidelity account. Keep in mind, this information is updated on a monthly basis. If we can be of assistance in the future, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re happy to help where we can. 🟢
