Several treasuries are maturing and are on autoroll, how can I tell what if they are monthly, 3mont

Summary:

  • The main problem reported by the user is how to determine the specific holding lengths of T-bills, such as whether they are 1 month, 3 months, or 6 months.
  • To identify the holding length of T-bills, the user can check the issue and maturity dates in the Positions tab on Fidelity.com, although there isn’t a direct column for holding length.
  • Fidelity offers a Fixed Income Analysis tool which can provide insights into bond holdings through various views and analytics.
  • To keep track of T-bill maturities, users are advised to set up Auto Roll alerts, which notify them about upcoming maturities and alternative positions.
  • Additional resources, including video tutorials, are available to help users navigate the Fixed Income Analysis tool and Auto Roll Service.

Hey there, @jce. Thanks for reaching out to us with your question on T-bills. You can typically determine the holding length of maturing T-bills you own by selecting the desired investment on the Positions tab of Fidelity.com and comparing the issue and maturity dates. That said, there isn’t a column that explicitly states the holding length of the position or maturity. However, Fidelity provides a Fixed Income Analysis tool to help you monitor and manage your fixed-income investments. Fidelity’s Fixed Income Analysis tool has three different tabs to help you view your fixed income holdings in a variety of ways; you can see a list view, cash flow view, and additional analytics on your bond and CD holdings. You can access it in a couple of different ways. From the Portfolio Summary screen, you can click on “Positions.” From there, you can click on the row for any of your bond holdings, and you will see an option to “View fixed income analysis for your bond holdings.” Additionally, you can click on the “Analysis” tab from the Portfolio Summary screen. You may have to select “More” before this populates. From there, you can click “Fixed Income Analysis” and then “Fixed Income Analysis Tool.” Here are some resources to help you get started with the tool, including videos to demonstrate. If you’re just looking to keep track of when a T-bill is expected to mature and will trigger the Fidelity Auto Roll Service, ensure you have Auto Roll alerts set up. You can receive alerts such as reminders, maturing position alerts, which are typically sent one month prior, and no position identified alerts, which alert you that Fidelity couldn’t find a replacement position. We’re happy to help! 🟢
