Understanding the Timeline for My RSU Cash Transfer

Main Problem:

  • Yuber is experiencing delays with the transfer of funds from the sale of their RSUs due to incorrect transfer instructions, which resulted in the funds being returned to Fidelity.

Solutions Discussed:

  • Fidelity indicated that vested RSU shares are usually deposited within two to four business days but could take up to 14 days.
  • Yuber was advised to set up alerts on Fidelity’s website to notify them when the shares are deposited into their brokerage account.
  • For specific questions about transfer details and timelines, Yuber was directed to contact Fidelity’s Stock Plan team for assistance.
  • Fidelity confirmed they cannot review account-specific details through the conversation channel and encouraged Yuber to verify bank details directly with the Stock Plan team.

Hi, @Yuber. Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) shares are typically deposited into your brokerage account within two to four business days following the vesting date. However, in some cases, it can take up to 14 business days. You can set up an alert to notify you when the shares have been deposited into your brokerage account. Login to http://Fidelity.com and take the following steps: 1. Select “News & Research” then “Alerts” 2. Click the category “Account Balances & Trading Activity” and go to the “Alert Setup” tab 3. Check the box next to “Trade Notifications and Order Status” and click “Set Up Selected Alerts” Stock Plan Resource Center: https://www.fidelity.com/go/stock-plan-services/overview If you have any questions specific to your plan and how taxes are withheld, our Stock Plan team is available continuously from Sunday at 5 p.m. to Friday at midnight ET. Unfortunately yesterday my money is back to fidelity because of some incorrect details from my transfer instructions. Now I followed instructions from the bank website and I’m waiting for transfer instructions approval.
Also if these is my second attempt. How long will the transfer take and the approval of my instructions? Is the process gonna be any faster than the first one since there are similar records on file?
Is there a way for someone from ur end to verify bank details too?
