I use Privacy.com to generate virtual card numbers for online services I use, and it’s linked to my Fidelity Cash Management Account.
Recently I’ve discovered I can’t complete more than 4 transactions because they’re considered “cash transfers” and it’s hitting a 4 transaction limit on the card.
I’ve spoke to multiple people at client services, and they’ve told me this is probably because the transactions are being misclassified as cash transfers.
They said it’s impossible to raise the limit on the number of transactions, so I’m kind of stuck here.
Is there any way transactions made through this service can be looked into so that it’s possible to make more than 4 transactions per day?

Hey there, @marsnebulasoup. Thanks for stopping by our Discord server this afternoon.
In this situation, the best course of action would be to reach out to that third party directly. In this case, Privacy.com.

Hi @FidelityAidan, I contacted Privacy.com, and this is what they told me. Is there anything that can be done here? Thank you!

We appreciate you for following up with us.
Based on that information, it looks like Privacy.com is unable to change its merchant code that categorizes the transactions as cash transfers, and we’re unable to raise the transfer limit on the card. I’m happy to pass along feedback on this to the appropriate team on your behalf.
