Why cant I pay my Rewards card account from my WROS-TOD Spend and Save account?

Here’s a summary of the main problem and solutions discussed in the conversation:

  • Main Problem: The user received a notification that their payment was returned by their financial institution, despite their account showing that the payment went through successfully.
  • Solution 1: Contact Elan Financial Services directly using the number on the back of the credit card to investigate the transaction further.
  • Solution 2: Reach out to the user’s bank to inquire about the reason for the returned payment and to confirm if it was indeed returned.

From elan: “Unfortunately, your recent payment of $$$$$ has been returned by your financial institution. We have removed this payment account from your credit card account. You will no longer be able to make scheduled payments using this account and will need to make payments by other means” Looking at my account online, it appears to have gone through fine and the payment was accepted. So what exactly is going on?

I will have to try this another day. The first gentleman gave up on me and transfered me to Fidelity. After entering my account number again, the woman talked to me less than a minute and transferred me to accounrt services. There I needed a user name and password. I need to leave so I’m wondering if there is another way to figure this out.

Hey Mike, sorry to hear about your experience. You may try contacting your bank to see if they can give you a reason why the payment was returned, and/or confirm if the payment was, in fact, returned. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to give any reasoning behind the returned payment through our system. Based on the quoted message you received, it sounds like there might have been an issue communicating with the bank you had linked to your Credit Card. Have you made payments using this bank account before?
